Youth Organisations in Bridgwater

Bridgwater Swimming Club

We are a competitive but friendly swimming club. Run by a voluntary committee, we are a not-for-profit club and have been providing aquatic sports to the community for 120 years.

We swim at Trinity Sports and Leisure on Monday, Thursday and Friday and at Quantock Lodge on Wednesday, sessions are led by our professional head and deputy head coaches.

Members of the committee are available on Fridays from 6.00-8.00pm at Trinity Sports and Leisure if you would like to pop along for a chat about the club and find out what we offer! New members are always welcome.

Westfield Church

Drop in at Westfield Street Cafe to play computer games, play pool, chat and chillax. Mondays and Fridays, 3.30pm-4.30pm.

Friday nights from 6.30pm we gather at Westfield Street Cafe for a film night, often with pizza and chips and other snacks. Its a great opportunity for the young people to hang out together. For yr 7 and above depending on film rating.

Bridgwater Hockey Club

The Bridgwater Hockey Club youth section is growing and vibrant. We provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all youngsters from the age of 7 to 16 to receive a high level of coaching tempered with a great deal of fun.

Our qualified coaches create a professional environment, where young players learn not only the skills of the game, but also the disciplines of team sport and tactics.  We also aim to develop skills through local festivals at u10 , u12 , u14 and u16 level and we enter a range of National Junior competitions.

Where appropriate we will channel young players through the England Hockey Single system introducing them to representative hockey at county and regional level (and above!).  We also have a route from junior hockey into senior/adult club selection and many of our juniors go on to represent Bridgwater in the adult teams.

Any youngster can come along - we welcome all children from ages 7 to 14. They do not need to have played hockey before as our sessions cater for all abilities. They need the enthusiasm to want to get active and find out more about hockey.

Come along and try a session at Chilton Trinity 'astro' each Tuesday 6pm-7pm
